1 Introduction

To use Allies, you must first accept the Terms of Use. Read them please, they matter.

We are We Are Allies AB, a Swedish company, (Hereafter "Allies", "We," Us "," Our "," Our ").

These Terms of Use (Terms) apply between Allies and you regarding your access and use of the Service. It is essential that you read the Terms of Use very carefully before using the service as the Terms determine the obligations between you and Allies.

By registering as a user of Allies and using the Service, you agree to be legally bound by the Terms. If you do not agree with the Terms and do not wish to be bound by them, you cannot use the Service.

Allies offer a global service; therefore, specific versions of the Terms may apply in some jurisdictions. This version of Terms shall be applicable in Sweden. Other conditions apply in other countries.

2. About the service

Allies is a digital tool where parents can schedule their daily lives together with other families in the same situation.

We Are Allies AB offers a digital online tool, intended for use by children, parents and other adults to help the family plan their daily lives (the Service).

The service is made available through Our website (www.weareallies.se) ("The homepage", "Our website") and our Application for mobile devices ("The application")

3. The use of the Service by parents and children.

If you are under the age of 18, you must have your parent/guardian's consent to use Allies.

To use the Service, you must be over the age of 18 or have the consent of the Parent or Guardian.

If you, as a parent or guardian, allow your child to use the Service, you must ensure that your child is aware of how the child can use the Service. You are responsible for all use of children under parental responsibility. We encourage you to regularly talk to your child about its use of the Service.

4. Your obligations when using the Service

You are responsible for your user account.

You must provide accurate information.

If you can't get into your account or suspect you've been hacked, tell Allies straight away.

The use of Allies for commercial purposes is prohibited.

Copying, modifying, influencing or collecting information from Allies is prohibited.

It is forbidden to use Allies for bad things. Be kind.

If you violate the rules, you may have to pay for the costs.

To access the Service, you must accept and approve the Terms and create a user account by registering certain personal information, including the email address and telephone number ("User account").

You are responsible for using the Service lawfully and responsibly by these Terms. Your use of the Service should, therefore, pay attention to the following obligations:

You are responsible for providing complete, accurate and correct contact information, account information and for ensuring that such information is kept up to date. You are also responsible for ensuring that any other information you may transmit to Allies as a User of the Service, in your knowledge, is not false or otherwise corrupt or distorted by the Service, that you may share it with Allies and other users that you have the right to share the information with Allies and other users.

You are responsible for all use of the Service that takes place under your username. If your email address, phone number, or device you use to access the service has been lost or stolen, or if you have any reason to suspect unauthorized access to your user account, please contact Allies immediately.

You may not use the Service for any commercial purposes or other purposes not related to the purpose of the Service (to be used by children, parents / guardians and other adults authorized by the parent / guardian to manage money and to assist the family in managing children's finances and education children about digital money.)

You may not copy (unless expressly permitted by these Terms), decode, modify, arrange, attempt to access the source code, modify or create your variations or versions of the Service. Scraping information in the Application, including third-party information available through the Service, is strictly prohibited.

The service may not be used in any way that is illegal, harmful or may be considered offensive by Allies, other users or third parties. In particular, you must not use the Service in any way to harass, exploit, threaten, defame or otherwise violate another's rights. Allies is not responsible for such use by any other user or party, but Allies encourages you to report all incidents to Allies (such as harassment, threats, slander, offensive or illegal communications).

If you violate any of these Terms, or if legal liability results from your use of the Service, you will be liable for costs and expenses, including any legal fees and costs incurred by us or our employees, contractors or employees. This includes all costs that result from someone else using your information, or Allies account unless you can prove that it has been used fraudulently.

5. Personal Data and Integrity

Please read our Privacy Policy on how we process your personal information.

We take your integrity very seriously. Therefore, we protect your personal information and will only process your data by our Privacy Policy.

6. Termination or suspension of the Service

If you delete your account, you terminate the agreement. If you violate the rules, we will terminate the agreement.

You can terminate your agreement with Allies at any time by deleting your account in the Allies applications and discontinuing your use of the Service. Allies may terminate the agreement with you, under these Terms, and discontinue or terminate your use of and access to the Service if any of the following occurs:

You violate our Terms.

You are late with a payment.

You do not provide when asked the information we need to verify your identity or the validity of any information you provided us.

We suspect that you are, or have been, involved in fraudulent or illegal activity when using the Service.

When terminating your agreement with us, you must stop using the Service.

Allies also have the right to terminate the agreement with you without giving a reason. Upon such termination by Allies for no reason, you will be refunded for prepaid fees.

7. Ownership

We retain all rights to copyright, trademarks and other intellectual property rights.

The Service is protected by copyright laws and international copyright instruments, as well as other laws and regulations relating to property rights and intellectual property rights. Allies and its licensors shall retain ownership in and to the Service and any related intellectual property rights, including without limitation trademarks, company names, database rights and patents. You enjoy a license with only a limited right to use the Service as described in and subject to these Terms.

The license does not allow you to use Allies' names, trademarks or other commercial symbols. Allies retain all rights and licenses not expressly granted to you in these Terms.

8. Limitation of liability

We cannot guarantee that Allies will always work correctly.

We are not responsible for things beyond our control and damages resulting from such things.

You need to take appropriate safety measures yourself.

We cannot guarantee that your access to our website, or its content, will be delivered uninterrupted and error-free, or that the site will be free of viruses or other harmful features. It is your responsibility to have adequate protection and procedures in place to ensure that the materials you receive from our website are free from harmful properties.

Allies controls and monitors content made available by Users or other third parties through the Service but does not guarantee its origin or accuracy. Allies is not responsible and cannot be held accountable for the validity and correctness of the content obtained in connection with the use of the Service. All use of information collected through the use of the service must be done according to your judgment and at your own risk.

We have taken all measures to counteract internet fraud and to ensure that all data collected from you is kept safe. In the improbable event of an infringement of our secure data servers, we cannot be held liable.

Under no circumstances can we be held liable for any direct, indirect, non-profit or another form of loss or damage resulting from your use or download of any content from the Service.

Allies are not liable for delays or losses caused by circumstances beyond our control and which significantly impair the performance of the obligation in question or that the fulfilment of the obligation is not financially justifiable.

9. Transfer and assignment

We may transfer the rights or obligations of these terms to another company.

Allies may assign and transfer rights and obligations under these Terms to third parties with whom Allies cooperates. Allies will notify you of such transfer or assignment if it affects your rights under these terms.

10. Support and feedback

We have no obligation to always provide you with customer service or offer updates.

Allies strive to provide accurate and efficient technical support, upgrades and updates for the Service. However, Allies shall not be obliged to provide support or maintenance for the Service under these Terms and conditions and retain the right to limit support, upgrades and updates from time to time.

If you post questions to our support and messages on our blogs and forums, you own the copyright to the text. However, you give us unlimited free license to republish the text on our website and to distribute, make available or sell the text in print or electronic form anywhere in the world as part of an edited compilation or otherwise.

11. Changes to the Service and the Terms

We can change these terms by posting new versions on the website.

If it is about significant changes, we will contact you, either directly in the app, or by email.

Allies can at any time, with or without notice, change the Terms by adding new versions of the Terms to our website. You will always find the latest version of the terms on the site. If no other date is stated, the new versions of the Terms will be valid for 30 days after publication on the website.

In the event of significant changes, you will be notified by in-app notification or by notice on the website and assigned the option to terminate the service before they enter into force.

Privacy Policy

This policy applies to all information collected or submitted on Allies website and our apps for iPhone and any other devices and platforms.

The information we collect

When creating an account, you will be asked to enter an email address. Email addresses are only used for logging in, responding to emails that you initiate, and notifications that you request. If you choose so, we may use your email address for promotional issues. 

We store information about your activities, saved locations, device, address and connection to other family members and users. We also collect statistics about what activities are created, edited and deleted, just as we would with contacts and chats.  Also, when you sign up for Allies, you can choose to give us access to your calendar, reminder, contacts, so that we can add information created in Allies to your phone.

Technical basics

If you enable notifications, we must store a token to send them. We never use notifications for marketing.

If you upload files to Allies, we need to store them until you delete them.

We use cookies on the site and similar tokens in the app to keep you logged in. Our server software may also store necessary technical information, such as your IP address, in temporary memory or logs.

Third-party

When we use services from other companies, we make sure they have a high level of security.

We may give out your information for national security or law enforcement if it’s necessary and lawful.

Ads and analytics

Allies' app collects and aggregate anonymous statistics, such as the percentage of users who use particular features, to improve the app.

Information usage

We use the information we collect to operate and improve our website, apps, and customer support.

We do not share personal information with outside parties except to the extent necessary to accomplish Allies' functionality. We may share anonymous, aggregate statistics with outside parties.

We may disclose your information in response to subpoenas, court orders, or other legal requirements; to exercise our legal rights or defend against legal claims; to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud or abuse, violations of our policies; or to protect our rights and property.

In the future, we may sell to, buy, merge with, or partner with other businesses. In such transactions, user information may be among the transferred assets.

Security

We implement a variety of security measures to help keep your information secure. For instance, all communication with the app and website requires HTTPS with certificate pinning

Accessing, changing, or deleting information

You may access or change your information from the Allies iOS and Android app. Requests to delete your account should be sent to info@weareallies.se.

Deleted information may be kept in backups for up to 25 days. Backups are encrypted and are only accessed if needed for disaster recovery.

Allies may delete your information at any time and for any reason, such as technical needs, legal concerns, abuse prevention, removal of dormant accounts, data loss, or any other purpose.

California Online Privacy Protection Act Compliance

We comply with the California Online Privacy Protection Act. We, therefore, will not distribute your personal information to outside parties without your consent.

Children's Online Privacy Protection Act Compliance

We never collect or maintain information at our website from those we actually know are under 13, and no part of our website or application is structured to attract anyone under 13.

Information for European Union Customers

By using Allies and providing your information, you authorize us to collect, use, and store your information outside of the European Union.

International Transfers of Information

Information may be processed, stored, and used outside of the country in which you are located. Data privacy laws vary across jurisdictions, and different laws may apply to your data depending on where it is processed, stored, or used.
